What is Sea Gals about?

The moment we never knew we needed.

Sea Gals is a safe space for women including trans women and non binary people to join in on a fun sunrise dip around the beaches of Perth, and now other locations around Australia.

We are all about different body types, different life stories, and coming together to celebrate our differences and similarities. A light hearted morning including a small chat and a dip is the perfect self-care hour you can slot into your morning routine, as we aim to cover the central Perth coast to make it as available to every woman.

We want you to experience the joy of seeing the sunrise, the moon set over the ocean, pink fluffy clouds, pink and blue water, and running into the ocean with other women whilst we blast some tunes.

Make as much meaning as you would like from these mornings, whether you just love the ocean, or you need to be around an amazing group of women for your mental health, we are here for it all.

We are here for you.

Let’s get you connected to yourself, others and nature in a morning of self-care.

Where are we?

Perth

At our home base, we swim up and down the coast along Perth, swimming as south as Mandurah and as north at Quinn’s rock.

Sydney

Currently on hold as we are looking for a new mermaid to run our dips.

Newcastle

Take a swim with Chelsea in the safety of the Merewether Baths, just south of the city.

Wollongong

Currently not swimming, we are in the search of a new mermaid.

Gold Coast

Enjoy the calm water of Tallebudgera Creek Beach with Chloe.

Broome

The first expansion of Sea Gals in May 2022. Karin runs her swims around Cable beach.

  • Tara Jeisman

    FOUNDER / CEO
I’m Tara and I started Sea Gals on TikTok in Feb 2022. I am currently completing my Masters of Counselling, and aim to work for Sea Gals full time whilst tending to my passion - working with women’s mental health. I have really found my love of the ocean, and found myself through running Sea Gals.

Hey, I’m Zo and I’ve been with Sea Gals since the beginning of this beautiful movement. I’m an advocate of living the slow life, so my life consists mainly of beaching, surfing and dreaming of travelling again.

  • Midz Driscoll

I’m Midz, and I love Xtreme Hip Hop, basketball, or anything to do with the ocean. My favourite beach is Awakino Beach in NZ - maybe one day Sea Gals will use that beach as there home base!
