FAQs

What do you actually do?

At our events, we meet up just before sunrise on a different beaches along the coast all over Australia. You can find our locations under the ‘About us’ tab.

People who come are invited to sit down, connect with themselves, others and nature.

A little bit of mingling happens before we run/walk/skip into the water at sunrise to music and enjoy the morning.

Who can come?

Cis women, Trans women, Nonbinary folk and people who identify with womanhood/being a woman.

Sea Gals calls our attendees ‘Gals’, but we are a safe space for all women of any kind.

We do hold events every now and again when all genders are welcome and men are added into the space. These events will have it clear that everyone is welcome. We do ask that men reframe from attending our usual ‘Gal’ events.

We are welcoming to people of all spaces, sizes, backgrounds, and appearances and hold a safe space for our Trans and Nonbinary ‘Gals’.

One does not need to align with the ideology of femininity/femme to attend.

Do you have a regular event schedule?

The short answer is nope.

As much as we’d love to have a regular schedule, all our Sea Gal leaders are volunteers, we have jobs, families and personal lives we must put into consideration when planning our events.

The weather is something we take on board as well, we don’t want you all running into a thunder storm!

To find when our events are you can check out the ‘Events’ tab above.

What do I need to bring?

Other than your lovely self and maybe a friend, all your need to bring is your usual beach going items.

A towel to dry off, maybe a blanket to sit on, a water bottle or coffee to wake the soul, a jumper for the winter and your phone to capture some sunrise photos if you like.

Most crucial of all, your bathers! Make sure you're wearing them before you head down as we jump straight in the water, there’s no time to get changed.

Where can I find photos from the event?

We have our own personal photographer at our Perth events who loves to capture some special moments for you.

You can find the photos from every event in the ‘PHOTOS’ tab above.

I don’t want my photo taken, can I still attend?

Definitely! As much as we love to capture some special moments of you at our events, we completely understand some people are not comfortable with getting photos taken or their photos being shared on social media.

If you do not want your photo taken, please let one of the Sea Gals leading the event on the day know. We will make sure we don’t capture you in any way.

We do take run in photos and videos as well as group photos, these are shared on social media, but you are more than welcome to stand to the side and run behind us while we capture these.
